Samsung´s campaign "Life´s a photo, Take it" has already started. The 32 photographers invited by Samsung have started last Friday November 16th to shoot pictures with the new Samsung Galaxy Camera. We all recieved a briefing in which we were told that during this week, we had to use the mode: Landscape and shoot photos with it.
At the end of the week, we all have to send to Samsung our four favorite pictures, or the most liked. With them, they are going to build a hub on Tumblr, and people will be able to vote for them. The city most voted will be the winner.
I must confess everything is new to me. I´ve had to get familiar with the camera, with Android operating sistem, with its apps, and so on. One thing I have noticed is (unless I´m doing something wrong) that when editing a photo with an app, its resolution decreases dramatically. Even if I use only the Photo wizard available with the camera, a picture with more than 4 Mb resolutions, has finally less than 2 Mb. If I edit with an app, the resolution decrerases under 1 MB. What I finally decided, after trying many times, is not to edit the photos at all, as Samsung demands them high resolution, because they will be printed.

La campaña de Samsung "Life´s a Photo, Take it" ya ha empezado. Los 32 fotógrafos invitados por Samsung empezamos el pasado viernes 16 de noviembre a hacer fotos con la nueva Samsung Galaxy Cámara. Todos recibimos unas instrucciones diciéndonos que, durante la primera semana, teníamos que usar la función: Paisaje, a la hora de hacer las fotos.
Al final de la semana, tenemos que enviarles las cuatro que más nos gusten, o que más hayan gustado. Con ellas constuirán un "hub" en Tumblr, donde la gente podrá votar. La ciudad más votada será la ganadora.
Tengo que confesar que toso es nuevo para mí. Me he tenido que familiarizar con la cámara, con el sistema operativo Android, con sus apps, etc. Una cosa que he notado es que (a no ser que esté haciendo algo mal) cuando edito una foto con una app, su resolución baja drásticamente. Incluso usando el asistente que viene con la cámara, una foto con más de 4 Mb tiene finalmente menos de 2 Mb. Y si la edito con cualquier aplicación, la resolución final está por debajo de 1 Mb. Lo que he decidido finalmente, después de muchas pruebas, es no editar la fotos, ya que Samsung nos las pide a la máxima resolución para luego poder imprimirlas.
