I´ve just returned from Scotland, and I already miss it. The journey organized by The Glenrothes to its distilleries and around Scotland has been a complete success. It was the first time I ever visitedthe land of William Wallace, and hopefully it will not be the last. Scotland is a land of a breathtaking landscape and extremely friendly people.
We were accompanied form Madrid by Jesus, @xisas, representing the brand, and Laura, @laura_corvo, representing Apple Tree Communication. And at the airport Pilar, @daphnepi, was waiting for us. She was kindly invited by The Glenrothes to come with us to this adventure.
We have traveled many miles by car, but it was worth it. Travelling around the High and Low Lands of Scotland is an unforgettable experience. The landscape is extraordinary. We stopped whenever we found a reason to shoot a photo, which happened very often.

On Friday we visited The Glenrothes´distillery. We should feel fortunate, as they do not allow public visits. Eric was our host, the former Brand Manager of the brand, and a real Scottish "gentleman". He carefully explained to us the whole process of production of whiskey, and offered a tasting of whiskeys from different years. We ended up eating in a cozy guest house within the destillery itself.
In addition to the distillery, and the extraordinary landscape, we visited the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
We were treated beautifully by Jesus and Laura, who have taken care of us perfectly. I would like to thank them personally them, as well as Apple Tree Communication & The Glenrothes for the excellent tour and attention. And to Scotland and its people I can only say that I promise to return.
Recién llegado de Escocia, ya la echo de menos. El viaje que ha organizado The Glenrothes a sus destilerías y alrededor de Escocia ha sido un completo éxito. Era la primera vez que pisaba las tierras de William Wallace, y ojalá no sea la última. Escocia es una tierra de paisajes fascinantes y gente extraordinariamente amable.

Hemos recorrido muchos kilómetros en coche, pero ha merecido la pena. Viajar por las High y Low Lands de Escocia es una experiencia inolvidable. El paisaje es extraordinario. Nos parábamos siempre que encontrábamos un motivo que fotografiar, lo cual ocurría muy a menudo.
El viernes visitamos las destilerías de The Glenrothes. Podemos sentirnos afortunados, pues no reciben visitas públicas. Hizo de anfitrión Eric, antiguo Brand Manager de la marca, y un autentico “gentleman” escocés. Nos explicaron detenidamente todo el proceso de producción del whisky, y nos ofrecieron una cata de whiskys de distintos años. Terminamos comiendo en una acogedora casa de huéspedes dentro de las propias instalaciones.
Además de la destilería, y el extraordinario paisaje, hemos visitado las ciudades de Glasgow y Edimburgo.
